Student Success Statment

Student Success Statement
“No man will ever be totally free who is living a lie.”
-Martin J. Ashton

What Ashton says in his statement is absolutely true. When you tell a lie, you will never be free. You feel dirty. You know that you’ve wronged at least one person in the world and it will burden you. You’ll carry guilt, knowing that you chose the wrong. To compensate, you should tell the truth to whoever you wronged. The lie might be embarrassing, but you will feel great afterwards. The person will (most likely) forgive you and you can carry on your life. You’ll feel like a weight’s been lifted off of you. From then on, you must vow to avoid lying as much as you can. This way, you will live a life of choosing the right, not the wrong, and you will live an enjoyable life.
